I'm not dead people. I realize I don't post much but ya know...
I really want to draw like every day but then I get distracted and by the time I realize it, it's like midnight and I need to sleep.
I'm trying a couple new things to keep me in the swing of drawing.

The first one is what I call "Song Sketches" where I basically have to do figure sketches in the span of one song (usually 3 minutes).
The second is a 30 minute pencil-less sketch. Well, kinda pencil-less. I have to do the anatomy structure with pencil then the actual drawing/sketch is in pen. This helps me to avoid my biggest drawback... erasing.

I've realized over the years that I erase so much that I cripple some of my drawings and draw them out to being an hour for a simple bust drawing. So to work on that I'm doing pen sketches where the lines are permanent. The song sketches help me to work on bone structure and facial layouts. I'm really still just trying to find my own personal style. I notice that I mimic many styles whenever I draw. I've also been trying a ton of new coloring techniques digitally as you may have notices. All 3 of my last pieces had a different color style. First one was thicker outline, fill in the area, then shade over. Second one was thin outline, fill in area, then use the a 1% Flow airbrush to insert shadows/highlights. Lastly I did a no outline, fill color, then use the 1% flow airbrush to add color, adding a colored line art over it to finish it. Personally I liked the 2nd and 3rd.
Anyways, I'll try posting some of the sketches that I do over the days. It will be a variety of them from portraits to full body shots.

As for my Smite Summer Series, it's on temp hiatus simply because they take usually a week or more to do and I'm kinda burned out. I need to take a week off from major drawings and focus on my YouTube group channel. I haven't actually recorded any games (besides a mediocre montage) in at least... 3 weeks. Wow that's a long time. I'm gonna like, binge play a game for a few hours to get some great gameplay.

The Smite God Card series is not dead either! I just don't have all my supplies with me (all my art supplies is in storage 600 miles away). I should probably go buy some charcoal or pastels or watercolors but hey I don't have a job for another month so there is that!

I also have started watching anime more frequently now. I finished Akame Ga Kill finally and I'm continuing Hunter X Hunter and starting Gintama (we'll see how this one goes).

Anyways, good night fellow watchers!

Summertime Isis - Line art
Finally got to work on the line art for this drawing. I went with a much thinner brush this time (despite it being the wrong style).
Next step is color, which will take quite some time. Anyways enjoy!

I'm a bowler, gamer, and artist. When I'm not gaming, I'm working on a drawing. When I'm not drawing, I'm chillin at the bowling alley. And when I'm not there, gaming, or drawing, I'm usually talkin with my fellow Pokemon Masters on RaidCall. Born and raised in Houston. Currently, I reside in the Texas Panhandle where I'm attending my third year of college as a Graphic Designer. When it comes to my priorities here, school comes before art, which is usually my class anyways. Hit up my PokeMasters group on YouTube if you want to see some quality LPing and some laugh out loud commentary.
